Comment: The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-term Health
This book has life-changing information. But don't let the fact that it is a description of many studies be a deterrent to reading it: the book is written in an extraordinarily readable style.

Summary: Amazing Book!
Comment: This book will blow you away! I was shocked at what I thought was healthy to eat but isn't. Very eye opening. The person who wrote the negative review and directed you to this website http://www.westonaprice.org/bookreviews/chinastudy.html.
Does not have a brain. The credentials of the person who wrote this Anti-China Study article has a BS degree in History. I Don't think I am going to listen to him over a doctor who has spent most of his life researching this data. Be careful which reviews you read and who is writing them. The China Study is very scientific and trustworthy.

Summary: Great Book
Comment: The China Study is a wonderful book. It is all about nutrition and now we should eat and not eat. I haven't finished it yet, but it is fascinating. A friend recommended it and I highly recommend it to anyone that is wanting to better their health through natural processes and natural foods. It is a real eye opener!!!

Summary: Extremely biased half truths with an agenda
Comment: I am a big proponent of consuming a phytonutrient dense diet and organic, unprocessed foods whenever possible but it is important to realize that the author is an ardent activist with PETA and is more concerned about promoting his vegan political cause than the actual facts. If you want to see the "rest of the story" that was conveniently left out of this book I strongly suggest loking at the information here, http://www.westonaprice.org/bookreviews/chinastudy.html.

Editorial Reviews:

Referred to as the "Grand Prix of epidemiology" by The New York Times, this study examines more than 350 variables of health and nutrition with surveys from 6,500 adults in more than 2,500 counties across China and Taiwan, and conclusively demonstrates the link between nutrition and heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. While revealing that proper nutrition can have a dramatic effect on reducing and reversing these ailments as well as curbing obesity, this text calls into question the practices of many of the current dietary programs, such as the Atkins diet, that are widely popular in the West. The politics of nutrition and the impact of special interest groups in the creation and dissemination of public information are also discussed.
